Growing through Integration,
              Expansion & Standardization

The first decade of the 21st Century saw dramatic growth in the group, as we adapted to demands of globalization and seized opportunities in line with our mission.

Growth was energized by vertical integration and horizontal expansion, with attention to standardization and certifications, as well as extended sales and distribution.

Vertical integration, which began steadily in the 1990s, continued to lower costs and uncertainty by synchronizing supply and demand. A plastics recycling operation in Saudi Arabia and masterbatches production facility in Lebanon were established to support our flexible packaging plants, while a new tissue mill in Egypt and existing plastics plants provided raw materials and outer bags for our consumer disposables plants in the Middle East.

Vertical integration increased production capacity and opportunities for export. With the assistance of INDEVCO Lead Generation Unit and INDEVCO Online Communications Unit, which use Internet technologies for lead generation and online support, our plants were exporting to over 75 countries by the end of the decade.

Phoenix group of companies, INDEVCO’s machinery and technology arm, increased its range of converting machinery offerings and spun off a renewable energy services company providing resource assessment, waste-to-energy services and distribution of solar, bio-mass, and wind energy products.

Using the approach of horizontal expansion for core business divisions, INDEVCO Group built new manufacturing plants and acquired others for our existing business divisions in new locations: new consumer disposables plants in Egypt, England, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia, new plastics plants in Saudi Arabia, and corrugated converting plants in Greece and the US. Egypt was a focal point for serving Western and Eastern Europe, as well as the African continent.

With an aggressive approach to global sales, we opened B2B export sales offices in England, France, and Sweden, which would later be subsumed by a centralized order processing and logistics facility in England. B2C distribution hubs for our consumer tissue and hygiene disposables products operated in Iraq, Jordan, Sudan, Tunisia and Ukraine.

Throughout the decade of the 2000s, quality and safety were our utmost priorities. Quality Assurance departments, along with divisional Centers for Technical Excellence, ensured that our manufacturing processing adhered to global international standards and certifications.
